After this renovation job in Bass Road, the house basically looked like a brand new home with everything that needed a refresh being replaced and the layout being improved.
The job began with a full strip out of the interior after which the floor was extended out from the entryway through the kitchen to the laundry to give more floor space. An old brick fireplace was also demolished as part of the work. A new floor layout was put in place for the living area, bathroom and bedrooms with a new kitchen also being fitted.
Much of this job happened to the fabric of the house - with a new roof, insulation added to the ceiling and exterior walls and new gib. Once that was completed the finishing touches were added including a full repaint inside and out.
The sleek lines of the kitchen and bathroom units complement the fresh look of the new paintwork while the floors are now a standout feature after the old timber floors were patched with Matai to match the existing wood and then sanded and coated for protection.
Floor to ceiling windows allow light to flood into the property, while the double-glazed aluminium joinery keeps the weather out. A new deck built off the living area with large patio doors improves the indoor/outdoor flow and adds extra space.
